I Just Texted To Say I Love You

This is how bad our world has been. Despite technology being able to bring forward information and communication era to a whole new level, it has some negative effects as well. Children don't bike around the neighborhood, or just playing and having a childhood like a normal kid. We're always on our gadgets, and despite being able to connect more, we are actually becoming quite disconnected with the people around us.

Scary isn't it? This is why I vow to never get a Smart Phone with Data Plan for if I get one, my life on the world ends and begins virtually - and that is very, very bad.

What do you guys think? :) How do we overcome this con?

  1. Hey Su Juin!!I totally agree with you that children’s are missing out their childhood adventures and becoming addicted to the media devices these days. Those were the days when you see toddler playing their Barbie doll and toy car or parents reading bed time storybook. Parents today are using smart phones to entertain their kids in public place or home to divert their attention and listen to them. By doing this we are actually causing harm to their health such as obesity, and increase the eye sight. Kids are using glasses at very young age these days. The children are missing out fun and exciting experience playing toys, ridding bicycle, going to the playground and spending quality time with their family and friends.
In my opinion I think parents should start considering whether the benefits of staying in touch by phone are better than the potential health risks to their kids???

  2. This is hilarious! Especially when Elliot Yamin started texting & not singing! HAHAHA great sharing first of all! :D

It certainly gives us a thought that however we want to avoid it or not, that the society has become OTT! Pretty soon, if this keeps up, well not be a citizen but a netizen forever!

For one thing, I know I'm not a 24/7 Internet person, I go online for a certain purpose. But if I stay too long on the Internet, I'll get bored. To me this is my case, but too others, it's not. I mean am sure in our circle of friends, there's bound to be a number that can't live w/o the Internet.

Everywhere they go, whatever they're doing, all their thoughts (some, unnecessary), we are bombarded w/ their updates.

What ever happened to our mouths!

Such an irony isn't it? The couples in the video are just sitting next to each other, but yet the girl relies crazily on the Internet to literally talk to her boyf. It's silly b/c this should be the case of a LDR!

Food for thought, if this is the case for all couples, then LDR wouldn't be a problem anymore b/c it's okay! W/ the Internet, who needs physical touch anyway! Who cares about physical relationships! I can do everything online! Yipeeee!

Yikes, unfortunately, this is not my thing! :P Nice videooooooooooooo! :D Thanks Su Juin!
